Starting from July 2024, Hapag-Lloyd South Africa will be implementing the mandatory use of ODeX for faster invoice releases, payment confirmations, and container releases. This transition is aimed at providing you with a more efficient, streamlined, and user-friendly process, eliminating the need for email submissions. Things to keep in mind Mandatory Use of ODeX From March 2024, all import container release requests must be processed through the ODeX platform. Release requests and payment submissions sent via email will no longer be accepted. This change ensures a more secure and efficient handling of your requests, reducing errors and delays. Container Release Request Instructions These are now completely managed within the ODeX platform, providing you with a single point of control for all your container release needs. This integration helps in maintaining accurate records and ensures timely processing. Invoicing Instructions All invoices are now 100% managed on ODeX. This helps in maintaining a smooth flow of operations and avoids any unnecessary delays. Mandatory Proof of Payment Upload To ensure efficient and accurate payment allocation, please upload your proof of payment to the Invoice dashboard. This step is mandatory and helps in speeding up the container release process. Benefits with ODeX Accessibility: You will have 24/7 access to download invoices and manage container release instructions. This round-the-clock accessibility ensures you can handle your business needs at any time, from anywhere. Visibility: Receive timely status updates on payment confirmations and container releases. This transparency helps you stay informed about the progress of your requests and payments. Seamless Payment Process: Use the ODeX-generated code as the payment reference in your bank transfer to get immediate payment confirmation. This automation reduces the time taken for payment processing and ensures quicker release of your containers. User-Friendly Interface: Our platform is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, allowing you to track invoices and arrival notices effortlessly. The user-friendly interface ensures that you can perform tasks efficiently without any hassle. Note: The process for Original Bill of Ladings remains unchanged. Container release will only be done once we receive the fully endorsed Bill of Ladings. This ensures that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
