We spoke to Raja Vikraman U, who is a Sr. Business Development Manager of South India Region, and asked him about his experience with ODeX and the Shipping Industry. I have always wanted to be an Entrepreneur. My family had their own business, and I have always wanted to help them run it. While my friends wanted to join organisations like Infosys and Wipro among others, I always dreamed of being a businessman myself. However, after both my family and my own business failed, I had no other choice but to join my own firm. I believed that my entrepreneurship journey ended right from the beginning. The first organization I had joined was in the shipping industry itself. In that organization, I learned the ropes of this industry and how things work. Even work-wise, I did not feel like I was really working under anyone. I had the freedom to make my own decisions, which did help my company grow. Ownership – the one thing I never thought I would receive, but it was the one thing that kept me going in my career. ODeX was my second organization, where I had the opportunity to develop the ODeX South India’s business from scratch. Here, I truly learned how to address the industry problem with innovative solutions. What I love at ODeX is that the management gave me complete ownership and responsibility for the southern region. This ownership and responsibilities is what motivates me and keeps me going on. I thought that joining a company would be the end of my entrepreneurial journey, but in fact, I am doing much more now at ODeX. I get to meet plenty of people daily during our marketing meetings. I also started getting more opportunities to meet more entrepreneurs, more decision-makers, more business strategist, Industry Leaders. So this marketer journey started fueling my entrepreneur dreams much better, bolder and stronger now. We welcome those who want to enter the Shipping Industry.
