We spoke to Vishal Jagdale, Asst Manager Business Development and Sales on his journey with ODeX along with his dreams and passions. Tell us a bit about what you do at ODeX: Maintaining customer relationships have always been a priority. My job includes making customers aware of the changes happening in the industry and offering solutions - by providing them with a digital platform for their business. My main aim has been to bring Custom Brokers to our platform to conduct business, including paying Shipping Lines on our platform. I also analyse the sales performance of the company on a monthly basis and offer solutions to help reduce bottlenecks in the processes. What are your hobbies? I love watching cartoons and driving cars, but trekking is my hobby and passion. Tell us more about Trekking! My ultimate goal is to do an Everest Base Camp trek. I’ve only done 2 treks so far. I saved up money and worked hard to go on a yearly trek to my dream places. In the past, I’ve done treks to Sar Pass in Himachal Pradesh, and Sandakphu (Kanchenjunga) in Nepal/ Darjeeling. Some of the best memories I have from my trek are being surrounded by mountains. I love spending time with nature. You know, a person must spend at least four days a year at the mountains to feel rejuvenated. There is nothing like the air in the mountains! I promised myself and made a pact that I will go to the mountains every year to live this experience. With trekking, I was able to learn Patience, Teamwork, Bonding with my fellow trekkers. I got to meet people from various nationalities and cultures. It is truly an enriching experience. What would you advise to those wanting to start their own first trek? If anyone wants to try it, go and visit the mountain! Breathe freely. Stay away from day to day stress. And most importantly, find yourself. You learn how to respect nature. You should definitely go! Would you say that it’s a good perk of working at ODeX? I love working at ODeX!
