The sources said that the exhaust gas cleaning systems will be provided by the well-known Finnish company Valmet that has a flourishing business with three service centers and four production units in China. Cosco spared no expense. The scrubber system delivery will also feature a customized, open-loop scrubber system for both the main engine and generator engine, which also includes the newfangled concept of automation along with auxiliary systems Valmet will ensure that these well-designed scrubber systems can be fitted to a single-island container vessel without any dip in the cargo capacity of the ship. The advanced scrubber system makes sure that the exhaust gas is washed with seawater in an open-loop system, and that the marine automation closely supervises the constant emissions.
