Two Liner Subsidiaries of CMA CGM Proposed to Combine Their Intra-Asia Services
The giant French shipping company, CMA CGM, has decided to merge two of its liner subsidiaries in order to improve its position in the intra-Asia trade. As per the recent reports, APL has suggested the acquisition of its sister organization called the Cheng Lie Navigation (CNC), which will ultimately lead to combining of their Asian regional services. It has been proposed that the intra-Asia operations will be consolidated under the CNC name instead of the APL tag, henceforth.
The CNC brand will supervise the shipping services from its Singapore office and that includes the various sales channels and networks. The CEO of the APL organization, Nicolas Sartini, has voiced his opinion that APL is striving hard to become the next intra-Asia champion by all eliminating all competition in the near future. The advantages of mastering the comprehensive market connectivity in the Far East region is sure to boost the overall growth of the company and increase its contribution in the economically-driven Asia.
For that matter, the Far East region is enriched with no less than 50 CNC weekly services along with 15 more from APL. Sartini is also confident that the new strategies and market development ideas will enable the joint venture to achieve better targets. The demands of the market and the customers are declared as the first priority and hence, the services will be constantly upgraded to meet them.
