Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of chemical processes, safety regulations, and optimization techniques. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes and systems used in the production of chemicals, materials, and energy.

Knoweldge

• Office and plant-based work environments.
• Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
• Travel to production facilities may be required.

Key Skills

• Experience in [industry-specific experience: petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food processing, etc.].
• Hands-on experience with process control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
• Project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices in the chemical engineering field.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• Proven experience in chemical process design, optimization, and troubleshooting (X years preferred).
• Familiarity with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, MATLAB, HYSYS, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and reaction engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with industry safety regulations and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize chemical processes in manufacturing plants.
• Conduct process simulations and modeling using software like Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, etc.
• Analyze and troubleshoot process systems to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, Quality Control) to develop and improve products.
• Monitor, control, and adjust plant operations to meet production targets and product specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new projects or process improvements.
• Perform safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure the implementation of safety protocols in the work environment.
• Design and oversee the installation of new equipment or modification of existing ones.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams.
• Provide technical support and training to plant personnel on new or improved processes.
